This is my Cuddle Dog, a pink dachshund! She is great for snuggling, and little ones can use her as a pillow!
Here’s a picture of all the parts before assembly (although the nose is already sewn to the head):

It’s a fairly easy pattern. I used cotton yarn that gives 160 m/ 50 g (175 yds/1.8 oz.) and a 2,5 mm hook. The length of my dog is about 35 cm (14″).
Materials needed: 1 skein (50 g) of each color: dark pink/magenta, medium pink, light pink and white. Some stuffing. (You can use different shades of another color yarn if you want.)

Body:
ROW 1: (With dark pink yarn) 6 sc in a magic ring.
ROW 2: 2 sc in every sc. (12 st)
ROW 3: 1 sc in the next sc, 2 sc in the next sc. Repeat. (18 st)
ROW 4: 1 sc in the next 2 sc, 2 sc in the next sc. Repeat. (24 st)
ROW 5: 1 sc in the next 3 sc, 2 sc in the next sc. Repeat. (30 st)
ROW 6: 1 sc in the next 4 sc, 2 sc in the next sc. Repeat. (36 st)
ROW 7: 1 sc in the next 5 sc, 2 sc in the next sc. Repeat. (42 st)
ROW 8: 1 sc in the next 6 sc, 2 sc in the next sc. Repeat. (48 st)

ROW 11-53: 1 sc in every sc. (60 st) Color changes: crochet row 11-16 with the dark pink you started with (6 rows). Row 17-22: change to medium pink yarn (6 rows). Row 23-28: change to light pink yarn (6 rows). Row 29-35: Change to white yarn (7 rows). Row 36-41: Change to light pink yarn (6 rows). Row 42-47: Change to medium pink yarn (6 rows). Row 48-53: Change to dark pink yarn (6 rows).
ROW 54: 1 sc in the next 8 sc, 2 sc together. Repeat. (54 st)
ROW 55: 1 sc in the next 7 sc, 2 sc together. Repeat. (48 st)
ROW 56: 1 sc in the next 6 sc, 2 sc together. Repeat. (42 st)
ROW 57: 1 sc in the next 5 sc, 2 sc together. Repeat. (36 st)
ROW 58: 1 sc in the next 4 sc, 2 sc together. Repeat. (30 st) Stuff the body.
ROW 59: 1 sc in the next 3 sc, 2 sc together. Repeat. (24 st)
ROW 60: 1 sc in the next 2 sc, 2 sc together. Repeat. (18 st)
ROW 61: : 1 sc in the next sc, 2 sc together. Repeat. (12 st)
ROW 62: 2 sc together, repeat. (6 st) End with a sl st and sew the opening closed.

ROW 1: (With light pink yarn) 6 sc in a magic ring.

ROW 2: Crochet the following row in the front loops of the chain until you get to the end of the chain, continue crocheting in the back loops of the chain until you get back to where you started. 2 sc in the second front loop from the hook. 1 sc in the next 5 front loops. 2 sc in the next 2 front loops. 2 sc in the next back loop. 1 sc in the next 5 back loops. 2 sc in the next 2 back loops. 22 st. (If there is a gap in the middle of the starting chain: sew it closed from the wrong side.)
Continue crocheting in a spiral.
ROW 3: 1 sc in every sc. (22 st)

ROW 2: (See description for “row 2” from the ear.) 2 sc in the second front loop from the hook. 1 sc in the next 2 front loops. 2 sc in the next 2 front loops. Turn. 2 sc in the next back loop. 1 sc in the next 2 back loops. 2 sc in the next 2 back loops. (16 st)
ROW 3: 2 sc in the next sc, 1 sc in the next 5 sc, 2 sc in the next 3 sc, 1 sc in the next 5 sc, 2 sc in the next 2 sc. (22 st)
ROW 4-13: 1 sc in every sc. (22 st)

Footpads (make 4):
ROW 1: 6 sc in a magic ring with light pink yarn.
ROW 2: 2 sc in every sc. (12 st) End with a sl st. Sew to the underside of the front/back leg and sew 3 small dots above (see picture).
Tail:
ROW 1: 5 sc in a magic ring with white yarn.
ROW 2: 1 sc in every sc. (5 st)
ROW 3: Increase with 1 sc. (6 st)
ROW 4: Increase with 1 sc. (7 st)
ROW 5: Increase with 1 sc. (8 st)
ROW 6: Increase with 1 sc. (9 st)
ROW 7: Increase with 1 sc. (10 st)
ROW 8: Increase with 1 sc. (11 st)

End with a sl st and fasten off.
Assembly:
Stuff the nose and sew it to the head. Stuff the head and sew it to the body. Sew closed eyes above the nose with white yarn. Stuff the ears just a little bit and sew to the head. Sew the legs to the bottom, the front legs should be where the head connects to the body. The legs should point outwards a little (see picture above). Stuff the tail and sew to the back.
